Invitation

The Melbourne committee invites you to attend the 2008 AHTA Conference and AGM. The topic for our Conference is 'Occupational Injuries' with a broad focus on trauma, overuse and degenerative conditions. From the farm to the factory floor; the computer desk to the concert stage, workplace injuries present us with unique challenges.

We are excited to announce that Prof. Bill Vicenzino (University of Queensland) will be one of several keynote speakers. Andrew Gallagher (School of Therapeutic Massage) will be presenting a practical Pre-Conference Workshop on trigger point therapy and myofascial techniques. Related to the topic of occupational injuries, we will be holding forums on chronic pain, CRPS, ergonomics and splinting for function. Issues related to compensable patients, worksite visits and return to work negotiations will be presented by the various parties involved.

The main Conference will be held on the hallowed grounds of the MCG. Sunday breakfast and AGM, followed by conversations with our Favourite Presenters will be held at Federation Square overlooking the Yarra Bank. Gorgeous............

Melbourne is a treasure of a place to live and visit and we look forward to welcoming delegates to AHTA2008 National Conference to experience this marvellous city.
